ICT Facilities:
There are currently two specialist ICT suites with 50 desktops, the suites are open daily for pupil and staff access from 8:30am until 5:00pm. In addition to our ICT rooms we have access to desktops in the LRC, Technology and the Library.
All staff and students have access to their computer files from home via the ‘My School’ app on the website homepage.
Aims:
Technology is changing the ways in which we communicate, live and learn. It is vital that we equip every pupil with the knowledge, skill and techniques to enable them to meet the demands of the ever changing environment. The ICT department aims to encourage pupils to become both independent enquirers and creative thinkers. We endeavour to increase pupil’s capability in the use of ICT and support them to become confident and independent users of a wide range of technologies.
ICT is taught across the curriculum, we incorporate the use of computers and technology in every subject to enhance the learning opportunities for every pupil.
