Mission Statement for Learning Resource Centre

The Learning Resource Centre is essentially a department within the mainstream school which enhances the range of provision available to meet pupils with special educational needs. It does not exist as an island but as an integral part of the school community.

Our Mission is to strive to meet the educational, social and vocational needs of children who have learning challenges within the embracing environment of Our Lady of Lourdes. We aim to provide the opportunity for each individual to grow and develop to his/her fullest potential and be prepared for as independent an adult life as possible

It is the responsibility of the Leadership Team and Senior Staff to ensure that the quality of education and the opportunities for inclusion for the pupils with SEN throughout the whole school, including the LRC, are of the highest quality thus enabling them to develop as individuals and as citizens of tomorrow.
